Helpful Tips to Avoiding Car Accidents this Winter Season
January 3, 2011
Many car accidents are caused by reckless driving, people simply not paying attention to the road. During the winter months in many places people have to deal with snow and ice. In Florida we do not deal with the same weather conditions, but there are still some things you can do to your car to help prevent accidents during the winter months.
A few things that will help your car stay in good shape during the winter months are: check your batteries, check the owner’s manual for the recommended grade of oil, and check the antifreeze/coolant for a 50-50 mixture.
Also, make sure you have an emergency kit in your car; you never know when you may need one.
It’s always important to take good care of your car, but it’s also important to make sure you are safe and driving a safe vehicle is just one step you can take to avoiding a car accident or injury.

Florida Attorney General Actions Towards Wrongful Home Foreclosures
October 18, 2010
With almost every situation regarding politics or government issues there will always be gray areas.
In the most recent issue with wrongful home foreclosures, the complete halt by some states in the U.S. in handling home foreclosures has stopped.
There has been evidence to many wrongful foreclosures in the last year. Yet, by putting a stop to all of the current homes in foreclosure you are also preventing the legitimate cases from being processed.
And who knows how long it will take to go through everything and research all foreclosure documents to double check that they are legitimate.
Completely freezing home foreclosures would greatly affect the housing market. For many people that is the only way they are able to afford a new home, is by purchasing a foreclosure or short sale home.
The overall well being of the economy should always be considered. Florida is in such a fragile state right now, issues concerning foreclosures, bankruptcies, and education need to be thoroughly investigated and research before any major decisions are made.
Please read the two links below to learn about the Foreclosure Examining Crisis and actions taken by Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum.

Unlawful practices with home foreclosures to be aware of…
October 11, 2010
According to an article in the Orlando Sentinel titled: Grayson: “Stop foreclosures handled by suspect firms,” U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson has asked the Florida Supreme Court to halt mortgage foreclosure cases handled by three law firms under investigation by the state’s attorney general. The three firms in questions handle about 80 percent of the foreclosures in Florida, according to Grayson. “I respectfully request that you abate all foreclosures involving these firms until the attorney general…has finished his investigations of those firms for document fraud,” Grayson wrote.
According to Abc news, 23 states have halted foreclosures as officials investigate bank practices. Banks are being questioned in their filing and documentation practices with home foreclosures. The main reason why people lose their homes is from falling behind in mortgage payments. If the lender never receives the payments that’s one thing, but if the lender loses your paper work then you are in a different situation. This is when you could potentially be falsely accused of falling behind on your mortgage.
If this has happened to you, it is called wrongful foreclosure. Please contact the attorneys at Boyette, Cummins, & Nailos today so we can help you save your home from foreclosure. We will sit down with you and discuss all of your options during this difficult and confusing time.
